Reaping
Chapter two

-Have a Laugh-

     A scream woke the lair as I, being the terrified turtle, sat up in bed, his lungs heaving for air…Sweat trickled down the side of the my face as I was up on my feet staring into the mirror, I kept a close eye out for my caramel eyes…they were still that lush, brown color…

     Slumping to the floor, I gave out a sigh of relief putting my hands to his chest…what a dream…It was only a dream…but…it felt so real...

     Before even knowing it, I felt a warm substance leak out from between my fingers. My eyes moved down to my chest…it was there…the deep cut from my dreams was still laying there on my plastron, my chest…I was in shock..

     "Leo?? What did you do?" Donny's voice arose as he stepped into my room with Raph and Mikey right behind him…he seemed surprised as well…The purple cladded turtle approached me, removing my bloody hands from the open wound…, "Leo? Have you been out lately?? Where did you get this?" He seemed very concerned…it wasn't much like me to be going out in the middle of the night and come back hurt…but then again…I wasn't out in the middle of night…I went straight to bed…should I tell them about the dream…? No..that would only concern them more…I'll keep it a secret…

     "Ay Leo??" Raph spoke up as he approached me, "you alright?? Ya seem kinda out of it…" I only stared at him…they didn't know what happened…but I had to tell them…sensei would surely soon find out…, no…if I told them…I have to…

     "..I'm fine…" I whispered as Mikey soon came over. He seemed to already be worrying…and he had no idea what happened…, "Mikey…I'm fine, don't worry about it…" The young turtle stared at me, his big blue eyes widened with deep concern…it wasn't normal of me to be keeping secrets…But it was for the best…it was just a nightmare…that's all…

     "Come on Leo…lets fix that wound up…better to fix it up now then later…" Donny gave me a small smile, but it soon vanished, a frown taking over his face, as he took hold of my arm and pulled me up to my feet. He had a rather tight grip as he walked me out of my room, across the living room and back to his lab. He sat me down on a small bed; injecting a few antibiotics into my body…It was a slight pain…

     After stitching up the wound and bandages it up he gave me a long, silent stare…there was worry in his eyes…I could feel his energy…his emotions…he was wanting to know what happened and he probably knew I wouldn't tell him…The stare went on for what seemed ages until he pulled away. He sat in his rolling chair as he rolled across the floor to his desk, taking out his working goggles and some chemicals…I, then, decided to leave, he was now busy with whatever he was working on…

     My head was bowed as I walked across, over to the kitchen, sitting down at the table. I pulled the chair back, making a slight screen as the legs of the chair went across the floor. I immediately sat down, setting my elbows on the table thinking…I didn't want to keep a secret from my family…but it was just only a nightmare…nothing else…then again…how did I get the huge cut on my chest…

     All his thinking made me leave reality…I was now in deep thought with myself…maybe…I just needed some fresh air…that's all…

     My head jerked to the side as I got back up on feet, going over to the lair door, opening it and leaving just like that, nobody stopped me…

     I smelt the sewer air, ignoring the fact that I could still smell the awful stench of blood fuming up into my nostrils…Another sigh was released out of my mouth as I took one step after another, soon approaching the ladder to the surface...

     "Hey Leo...wait up…!" Mikey called out from behind…He was practically running and already out of breath when he reached me…his hands went to his knees as he took a few deep breaths, then looked at me in the eyes, "I wanna come with you…"

     "Mikey…" I paused as I stared at my youngest brother, he seemed to really want to come, "I was only going out for some air…that's all.." He gave me a long stare, almost as long as the one Donny had given me…

     "So? I wanna come with you still…your hurt…and don't say I can take care of myself, because since you woke up, you've been out of it and I wanna be your guide..your bodyguard…something like that…" he gave out a cheesy smile and I couldn't help but laugh..it was funny and it was good to get a good laugh out of me..it felt good and it felt as if I hadn't laughed in years…, "so waddya say??? Please Leo?? I haven't been out of the lair either and its boring…and I'd would be watching tv or playing videogames but Raph hid the remote and you know I'm too lazy to just get up and change the channel by hand..and I would be reading comics but I've already read them all and the new ones wont be coming out for another whole month…please!?!?" He seemed to be screaming out his words…and he also seemed, very…very bored…

     "So your too lazy to change the tv by hand…and yet you ran all of the way down the sewer to ask me to come?? And what if I said no…?" I was very amused by this and was hoping to get another laugh..

     "NO?! Uhhhh…LEEEEOOOO??? WHY..why why why why why why why????" Mikey collapsed to the floor as if his dreams were broken…as if his bones had shattered…as if the last comic on earth had been bought by the Shredder himself…

     "Mikey..I said what if..you can come…" I laughed hard and long and I even began to shed some tears it was so funny…I was happy to have laughed this much..it felt good…After a few laughs, Mikey got up from the sewer floor, laughing with me and both of as brothers, left to the surface and slowly made our way up to the roofs..the trip only took 5 minutes..but this time 10…Almost half way up the roof, having climbing ladder after ladder, Mikey decided it'd be funny to peek into woman's shower…It was wrong…but I allowed it…only because I knew what the consequence was…and besides…Mikey was only 16…and he was a boy…and he craved girls…I watched him open up a window and peek his head in and the reaction was quick…the lady screamed and Mikey was whacked in the head with a plunger…

     It gave my laughing box, quite the exercise…

     "Mikey…" I attempted to speak out as I lay on the ground laughing…he wasn't amused…He knew that I knew what exactly would happen if he did his little joke…

     "Not funny Leo…so uncalled for.." He gave me a slight glare then realized that he saw what he wanted and gave our a giggle, it was his victory laugh…I watched as his cheeks reddened and I could sense his heart pounding with pleasure…he defiantly got what he wanted…if only he was able to get a girl…if only we all cold get a girl instead of Raph reading those disgusting magazines and Mikey in his room on the computer, looking up who knows what…

     "Come on Mikey…lets go home…" I stared at the laughing, reddened turtle as we both made our way back home…it was enough for one night…
